Technical Specifications
Astral pioneered CPVC technology in India, launching the country’s first NSF-certified CPVC piping system. CPVC (Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride) is chemically enhanced to withstand higher temperatures than standard PVC — making it the material of choice for modern hot water plumbing systems.
Unlike copper or GI pipes, CPVC will not corrode, scale, or pit over time. The smooth bore maintains its flow characteristics for the system’s entire life, and the simple solvent-cement joining system is faster and more reliable than threading or soldering metal pipes.
All Astral CPVC Pro fittings — elbows, tees, couplings, reducers, and valves — are available in matching sizes and from the same CPVC material for a fully compatible system.
